First Response offers clinical vascular access, support, and comprehensive educational & training programs. First Response’s professional staff of experienced, certified vascular nurse specialists focus on proper techniques for best practices in infection prevention.  Our nurses carry national (CRNI) certification as well as full liability insurance for advanced clinical practice.

First Response’s comprehensive clinical and educational support includes: Vascular and patient assessment, specific diagnosis and comorbidities and skin integrity. A variety of infusion needs, total patenteral nutrition (TPN), chemotherapy, vesicant and irritant medications, fluid replacements, antibiotic and blood transfusions.

Vascular Access Device Insertions in hospitals, LTAC, rehabilitation facilities, and SNF Units requiring clinical expertise in the administration and selection of intravenous therapies and devices. Complete Vascular Support is available for patients in all practice settings.

Education and Training for nurses on insertion techniques, patient maintenance and monitoring, and standards of care for the specific therapy ordered. Clinical Support and Consultation, in addition to education, is available on the latest technologies, vascular access devices and techniques in iv therapy. DPH and JCAHO guidelines, cost-containment in long-term infusion care, and the PPS System are also areas of expertise.
